Shabbat Adventures

Well I, Xaundelle, had a few fun stories to share over the weekend, but the Internet went down. But that only means I've collected even MORE things to share. Try to bare with me...

Friday was filled of activity around Villa Immanuel. We went outdoors to work and began pruning a maple oak tree! Some of us raked leaves and gathered the many branches that were being clipped off and I of course captured these moments!

Yes that is 4 grown people in that tree...

Next thing I know I was on my way to my first official outing: the laundromat! Sam and Bedig went to go do laundry for the whole base and I was sent to supervise the men. Upon arrival a few old men showed us around, how to use the machines, how much soap we would need, etc. By the end of the time we were the ones helping others figure out the place. Though they didn't take much of my advice, we successfully returned with every one's clothes half dried and changed for dinner, only a couple minutes late for Shabbat!

No matter what town, how many of us are gathered or what there is to eat, Shabbats always bring a familiar and pleasant mood. We had a short, but sweet time that prepared our hearts to rest in Gods presence.

Saturday we did a group hike that turned into a wilderness man, survivor hike when we got lost, but luckily Matt was in my group and guided us safely to the villa. Its beautiful here! Absolutely gorgeous! Enjoy some sceneic photos.

We ended our Shabbat with a time of worship in Geneva with the local body. It was a great time to jump into french worship and come alongside believers who we are praying and interceding for all year long. The team will continue to be apart of local expressions of the body in the 40 days we're here.

Sam, Ashley and I prayed over that blonde little girl. She just wanted a blessing from God. As we begun to pray the Holy Spirit manifested so heavily on her! She was so precious. Matt also prayed over the girl on the right and her brother against a spirit of fear. As the team was praying, the little boy received a personal revelation of Gods love for him.

Since then I have visit 3 grocery stores and the train station. Serah just mentioned the fact that we HAVE to take a picture of the 2 sided cheese isle and the dairy isle which includes a whole side dedicated to yogurt. That's what you have to look forward to next time.
