Approaching the home stretch with fervor!

Remi and Sara led a team to Ecole de Timothe, a private christian school with about 50 children between 4-15.

We started out with "This is the day" in french and Sara followed it up with how to put on the full armor of God. It was great to see the kids get involved and do the hand motions for each piece of armor in front of all of their classmates.

Yvita shared the story of Samuel encouraging the children no matter how big or small, that God speaks to them! It was a great truth for the kids to learn and for us to remember that God invites them into His presence as well.

Then I shared about the miraculous power of Jesus from John 5, the pool of Bethesda and how He is alive and healing today! The children responded greatly to the story and prayed for the sick among them!

The child being prayed for to the left asked for healing from constipation. As we prayed the children began to gather around her. When we asked if she felt any different she said she felt peace inside of her!

One boy had a cast on, another had back pains and a little girl was even seeking greater break through in the area of fear. We were all aware of Gods hand on this group of children and the potential they had to influence their city and region!

Deuteronomy 33:19

They will summon peoples to the mountain and there offer sacrifices of righteousness; they will feast on the abundance of the seas, on the treasures hidden in the sand."

The Lord has spoken to us about part of His strategy for France being in the Rhone Valley which starts in Geneva and runs down through France into Marseille. Part of this valley includes Valence where the Arnaud family is from and a town that has hosted people from our community: Rebekah, Yvita and currently Micah.

So we went up to the mountain, to seek the Lord's heart for the people of Valence and to take down the word of God like Moses on Mt Sinai. We proclaimed the truth of God over the city and got a 360 degree perspective. As you can tell, it was also freezing!

On Friday we did some sight seeing which included Valrhona the chocolate factory where I tried so much chocolate I literally made myself sick! Last time we were here they were renovating the store and it was in a trailer. Now here it is in a gorgeous boutique! So classy!

We're talkin around 97 euros a kilo for this chocolate! Woah nelly, I won't be bringing that one home.

Shabbat was hosted by the lovely Arnaud family, a whiskey chicken over rice. Micah made the best challah I have ever had in my life! Our time was too short at Shabbat dinner because we had to get to our second worship service!

In France many pastors, prophets and evangelists hold meetings, worship services, etc. The people are hungry for revival, and go from meeting to meeting to meeting. We desire to see the bride of France encounter God for themselves and so instead of our normal desire to lay hands and prophesy, we gave room for the Holy Spirit to draw hearts into the presence of God.

What we were praying for we began to see released as the group began to cry out for more of the Lord. At the end of worship the people encircled our team and began to pray blessings over us. It was a very powerful time for us.

The next day we headed back to Geneva and made a fun stop in Annecy for lunch. It's a beautiful town and you should put it on your list to stop and visit when in France. Rena, Yvita, Anja, Hanah and I went and found a Chocolaterie where we had a round of hot chocolates!

After the warm drinks we wandered outdoors, enjoying the crisp weather. We found a group of street performers with lots of tubas, horns and drums covering "Smoke on the water." It was quite comical.

Every Saturday is a day for family in Annecy with fresh apple juice being squished in an ancient wooden press or chestnuts roasting on an open fire!

Then we took the typical tourist picture next to the river walk and headed home to the Villa.

We look forward to see what God has in store for our last week in France. Norm Frederick is here with us as we prepare for the last weekend where we are co-hosting a conference with Etiene. The title of the conference is Prepare The Way. It will consist of two worship nights and a day of workshops on dance, worship and intercession. Our heart is to see the prophetic voice of the body of Messiah released in Geneva.

Rachel's Birthday and Shabbat for the masses

Here's a continue of the last weeks activities. I hope you all know that we are always excited to share with you what God is doing, but the internet doesn't always grant me the pleasure.

We took half a Shabbat’s rest and then a van full of us headed up to a camp of about 30 youth. On the way to the camp, Anja Herzog shared a dream of a room full of fire places, lined up one after another. In the fire places there was dirty water and as we tried to light them on fire, the water would put them out. Our direction from the Lord was to clean out the dirty water, and put fresh lighter fluid in them, enabling God to ignite this generation.

The 8 of us were excited at the chance for God to “get ‘em” and started off the service building trust by sharing our own experiences and testimonies. Among our team were Anja Arnold and Micah who are both under 18. We were able to impact the youth with the conviction of never being too young to start serving the Lord! God was faithful to encounter the hungry hearts and we spoke many prophetic words over the leadership team.

The next day the same team went for the last day of camp with the expectation to see the baptism of fire come. We extended an invitation for those who wanted the baptism of the Holy Spirit and He transformed lives that day. We brought the reality of our living God to a group of teenagers who can transform their nation!

November 4th was Rachel’s birthday and she was excited to start the day by sharing at a Salvation Army church meeting. Afterwards the whole team went downtown to a bowling alley in Geneva!

It was a special event with 3 different bowling teams and tons of photo ops! You could tell our team needed a day out as we all cheered excitedly for one another and showed the French how Americans bowl…Loudly!

Hanah satisfied with her score of 99, compared to her usual 30. The highest score was by Sam at a whopping 127. Spirits were high, pins were low!

For dinner we had Rachel’s favorite: hamburgers and french fries. Her birthday dessert was a lovely hot fudge sundae! She was overjoyed when she got the beautiful coat she had been asking for and was excited to wear it out for the tour of Geneva we had the next day.

For Shabbat, Kes lead the team cooking for 100 people! Rena did a lovely job organizing all the teams which included set up, cooking, watching kids, transportation, and clean up! It ran ultra smooth and we had great reviews from guests. But beyond the food and practical aspect, God really gave us grace and touched many others.

Rebekah and Bedig led the prayers in French along with Youval and Valerie. The evening included worship and a time of prayer over the youth attending.

Two weeks to go!

There are only 2 weeks left in France and our schedules are full! We have kept busy with ministering, birthday parties and Shabbats.

The first party for our team was to celebrate Leil turning 2. The occasion got the whole community excited for a trip to “Mac Do.” (Pronounce ‘Do’ like Doe a deer). Liel’s Tata and TonTon, pappi and mamou came out to celebrate with us as we stuffed our faces with french fries and Big Macs (that was for you Rach). Rachel says “The mayonnaise in France even has herbs in it!”

After the kids got their fill of Ronaldland and the “big kids” got their coffee and H&M fix, we headed up to Vie Et Foi for Liel’s Shabbat dinner, presented by the Arnaud men.

It was a fabulous French soup, Christian’s famous mustard and ended with apple strudel and champagne. Only in France does a 2 year old celebrate her birthday with champagne! Hanah and I picked out Liel’s birthday present from the team and, might I add, it was a great success. Here’s Liel tromping around in her oversized princess shoes (topped with her princess crown)!

Revival in Valence

Valence team report

October 23- Thursday. Departure from Villa Emmanuel for VALENCE!! We were so excited to set out as one of the teams, ready to see revival come to Valence! We were on the road for 3-4 hours, and arrived at l’Oasis around 3 p.m. We got set up in our rooms, and went to Remi’s parents house to see Jeff, Micah, and the family.

24th- Friday. 9 a.m.- worship and intercession. We had a visitor, France, with us, who we blessed with prayer. We had a powerful time of worship together with the family, Jeff, Micah, and France. Afterwards, Remi and Sam set off to find a meeting place for our big Gateways worship night on the 13 of November. We ate lunch together, and then went grocery shopping to get needed items for meals for the week. We returned to l’Oasis, ate dinner together, and then went to a meeting at Bethel Church in Valence to minister with Jeff. The meeting was powerful, and we had lots of time to pray for people after it was over.

25th- Shabbat. 10 a.m., worship and intercession. We had guests, Christoff and Angelique, who came to join us for worship. They are a young couple who lead worship at Remi and Sam’s home church, les Sarments. We began to pray over them, and we had a powerful time of speaking words and truth over them. They were really touched and encouraged, especially by the fact that we would want to invest into their lives. That afternoon we ate lunch together as a team, and then Rena, Sam and Remi rushed around looking at rooms to rent for the big Gateways worship event on the 13th of November. That night the team split in two: one group went to eat dinner at Christoff and Angelique’s house, and the other group went to Sarments to a youth meeting where Jeff was speaking. Both teams were blessed and experienced a powerful time of God moving. In the youth meeting, many were called to repentance. There were 7 people who gave their lives to Jesus, and 5 made a renewed commitment. God came in power, and many were touched!

26th-Sunday. Church meeting at Sarments with Jeff. Remi, Ashley, Christoff and Angelique led worship at Sarments. Jeff brought the message, and Mr. R made a surprise appearance and gave prophetic words! There was clear and almost tangible revival in the air, it was so powerful! We felt the Lord move so mightily, and many were touched. Jeff taught from John 5. He gave a call to revival, and many agreed to push it forward! At the end, 4 people gave their lives to Jesus, and many made renewed commitments. When Jeff turned the service back over to the pastor, he was almost dumb from the revival atmosphere. We were all touched, and prayed for that revival to continue. Afterwards, the Pastor felt he needed to get the church leadership together with Jeff to continue the revival and they set a date for Monday night. After the service, we went back to the Arnaud’s house to eat, and enjoyed a nice meal together. In the evening, we took some time to rest after the busy day.

27th- Monday. Worship 9 a.m. Christoff and Angelique joined us again. We had a time of intercession for Valence, calling forth MORE revival. It was powerful, but we really had to push forward in our fatigue! In the afternoon we had a prayer walk through Valence. During the morning worship, God had given Angelique a vision of one particular street in Valence, and in the vision there was an open heaven above it. We walked this street praying for what Angelique saw in the spiritual realm to be also in the natural realm. After the walk, we sat in a café and had some “team time”. In the evening, Remi and Sam went with Jeff to the leader’s meeting at Sarments.

28th- Tuesday. Worship 9 a.m. Christoff and Angelique came once again for worship. We had lunch with Jacques and Joelle, and the team really felt a connection with them. We experienced a lot of spiritual warfare this day. After the revival that started on Sunday, Jeff had on his heart to continue it as much as possible. We immediately began planning another meeting (for Tuesday night), and spent Monday and Tuesday preparing for it. Praise the Lord, it all came together. That night, at the meeting, Jeff taught from Acts 4. We really felt the spirit of God come and it was amazing how people responded. Jeff and our team prayed for almost everyone who came, and almost everyone was touched! It was amazing how the Lord continued the revival!

29th- Wednesday. Packing and cleaning for departure. We packed up and cleaned at l’Oasis, then we headed to the Arnaud families’ house to spend some time before leaving Valence. We ate lunch, and then had a time of shopping in the area. We departed for Geneva just after dinner looking forward to return to the rest of the community here in France.
